With its acquisition of Shenyang Gas Cylinder Safety Technology Co, Ltd (CLD) at the beginning of 2021, Faurecia is now an actor in Hydrogen Tank and Storage System market in China and further focuses on developing its hydrogen business.

The main products cover Type I, Type III, Type IV Tanks and Hydrogen Storage System, to satisfy customer needs for various applications: passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-road and other industrial applications.

As of 2024, Faurecia CLD has delivered over 20,000 Type 3 cylinders for automotive applications, and obtained the first Type 4 production license and product homologation in China. The factory was rated as a green factory and won the first prize of mechanical industry science and technology, specialization and innovation, and small giant honors. 

Faurecia (Shanghai) Hydrogen Solutions Holding Co., Ltd. is located in Anting, Jiading District of Shanghai. This is an important step for Faurecia to deploy in the field of hydrogen. It will provide support for further expansion of Faurecia's hydrogen business, promote the research and development and production of hydrogen storage systems, and close cooperation with the domestic hydrogen industry chain. It currently has 30+ employees and a hydrogen storage system assembly line with capacity 1,000 sets per year.

We also have a place in the Respiratory Gas Cylinders market, which can be widely used in tourism, firefighting and other fields, with an annual shipment of more than 300,000 units.
